Class Learning
Canvas is The University of Texas at San Antonio’s official Learning Management System (LMS). Think of it like your digital classroom. It is your central digital hub for all registered courses, holding essential materials, assignments, grades, and communication tools.
For every class you register for, you’ll have access to class materials from Canvas. Your professors and instructors will post all your course materials here and it’s where you’ll turn in your assignments and view grades, keeping you organized and focused so you can be successful in the classroom.
How to Log into Canvas
- Click on the Canvas card from your myUTSA Account or directly visit utsa.instructure.com
- If not already logged in to the myUTSA network, you’ll be redirected to login with your myUTSA ID and Passphrase.
Canvas is also available for mobile devices. For on-the-go access, download the official Canvas Student App for your Apple iOS or Google Android device.

When can I access my courses on Canvas?
Please check the Canvas Course Availability Schedule for when courses become available to faculty and students. Typically courses become available 1-2 weeks before the start of the semester.
