Parenting Students
Effective September 1, 2023, Texas Senate Bill 459 requires institutions of higher education that offer priority registration to also provide priority registration for parenting students. A “parenting student” is defined as a student enrolled at an institution of higher education who is the parent or legal guardian of a child under 18 years of age.
