Emergency Aid Application
Instructions: Emergency grants are available to both degree-seeking undergraduate and graduate students and will be given out as long as funds are available. These are one-time institutional funds that are administered as long as a financial aid application is on file. Students must be meeting enrollment and financial aid grant requirements to be eligible. Those without a FAFSA or TASFA on file or whose aid is not exhausted may be offered an emergency loan. This emergency loan will need to be repaid within the semester. Please fill out the Emergency Aid Application below and attach supporting documentation in order to be considered for emergency aid.
Note on Timing: Please allow 3-4 weeks for a response to your Emergency Aid application. You will be notified through your UTSA email address. Due to funding limitations, multiple applications and second requests will not be processed or approved. If additional funding assistance is needed, students may apply for the UTSA Educational Expense Loan.
The last day that Emergency Aid submissions will be reviewed for Spring 2023 is May 1. You must be enrolled for the spring semester at the time of your request.
Summer 2023 emergency aid requests will be reviewed in June 2023. You must be enrolled at the time of your request.
If you have a current term balance or a past due balance, emergency aid will be applied to the balance due or your application may be denied. Emergency Aid funds cannot be refunded directly to the student if there is a balance due.
