Emergency Aid Application
Instructions: Emergency grants are available to both degree-seeking undergraduate and graduate students and will be given out as long as funds are available. These are one-time funds that are administered as long as a financial aid application is on file and if all financial aid, such as grants and student loans, are exhausted. Those without a FAFSA or TASFA on file or whose aid is not exhausted may be offered an emergency loan. This emergency loan will need to be repaid within the semester. Please fill out the Emergency Aid Application below and attach supporting documentation in order to be considered for emergency aid.
Note on Timing: Please allow 3-4 weeks for a response to your Emergency Aid application. You will be notified through your UTSA email address. Due to funding limitations, multiple applications and second requests will not be processed or approved. If additional funding assistance is needed, students may apply for the UTSA Educational Expense Loan.
The last day that Emergency Aid submissions will be reviewed for spring is May 18, 2022. Processing will resume for the summer terms in June. You must be enrolled in summer courses at the time of your request.
Is your request related to COVID-19? The university received additional federal funding. Based on this, a special Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund (HEERF) application is now available.
