Diplomas

When will I get my diploma?

Diplomas are 11 x 14. They are mailed approximately 60 days after the end of the term in which you graduate via first-class mail in a 12” X 16” cardboard mailer.

Diplomas are mailed to the address provided by you on the ASAP Application for Graduation. It is recommended that all degree candidates log into ASAP before the end of the semester and verify that the diploma address is correct. If incorrect, update it under the Personal Information menu.

Please note, diplomas will not be mailed to students with university holds. Log into ASAP to verify that no holds exist on your account.

What’s on my diploma?

Diplomas include the following information: student’s name (first, middle and last), degree and major. University honors and Honors College tiers are included for qualifying students.

Diplomas do not include minors and or concentrations.

Duplicate Diploma/ Diploma Reorder

Students can request a duplicate diploma. The charge for each duplicate diploma is $15.00 and is due when the order is placed. All duplicate diplomas will have the signature of the current College Dean, University President, UT System Chancellor, and Board of Regents Chair. Duplicate diplomas will be printed with the student’s official UTSA name. For information on how to change your UTSA name, visit UTSA Name Change.

To order your duplicate diploma please complete the Diploma Reorder form and pay the $15.00 fee by check, money order, over the phone with Fiscal Services at (210) 458-8000, or in person with Fiscal Services.

Diploma reorders will not be processed for students with a hold or financial obligation to the University.

Diploma Request

If there was a hold on your student account that prevented us from releasing your diploma, please use this form to request your diploma once that hold has been released. All financial holds must be cleared before the request will be processed.

Normal processing time for diploma printing is 5-7 business days. However, due to the volume of diplomas printed at the end of the semester and during degree awarding (January, June, September), expect a longer processing time for diploma requests.

This request form is for students who have not received their diploma.

For information on how to re-order a duplicate diploma, please see the “Duplicate Diploma / Diploma Reorder” section above.
