UTSA has partnered with Tassel (formerly MarchingOrder), a leading software solution for managing graduation ceremonies, to enhance our UTSA Commencement experience.
RVSP for Commencement
Once a final graduation application deadline has passed for a given term, students who have applied for that graduation will get access to Tassel. Students will receive email notifications directly from the tassel system, so please note these emails are not spam. Students will have to create a Tassel profile by clicking a link from this email and setting a password. Once this profile has created, students will be able to RSVP for Commencement, along with additional action items to prepare for commencement.

Tassel Features
- Name Pronunciation: Tassel allows students to record their names, ensuring they are pronounced correctly during the ceremony. This adds a personal touch and reduces anxiety about mispronunciation in such a significant moment.
- Streamlined Check-in Process: Students benefit from a more organized and efficient check-in for commencement. Tassel’s system helps manage attendance, minimizing confusion and ensuring the event runs smoothly.
- Digital Name Cards and QR Codes: Students are provided with digital name cards or QR codes, which they can scan on stage. This ensures their names are displayed accurately on screens and read aloud at the right time, creating a seamless and polished experience.
- Individual Recognition: With features like live name display and individual photo capture when crossing the stage, students get personalized recognition. Friends and family attending in person or watching online can clearly identify the moment the student is honored.
