Request for Independent Status
The Request for Independent Status is used to evaluate an extenuating circumstance regarding your dependency status based on documentation you submit. If, after submitting your request, the status is either “pending” or “incomplete” please check your preferred-email account or contact our office for information about why your file is pending or incomplete. We cannot process this request unless all documentation is received. We typically begin to process these requests for Fall starting in May.

You can submit your documentation one of the following ways:

For data security purposes, documents submitted by email or fax cannot be accepted.
