House Bill- Selective Service Statement

All students submitting a Texas Application for State Financial Aid (TASFA) must complete the Selective Service Statement of Registration Status found on the second page of the application to confirm their eligibility for state financial aid.

To satisfy this requirement, males between the ages of 18-25 must register for Selective Service on sss.gov and indicate that they are registered on the statement. For those that are female, are under the age of 18, or are exempt from registering, the requirement will be waived.

If our office cannot confirm your registration with selective service based on your response indicated, you will be required to complete registration on sss.gov. Your status will be updated when you either re-submit the second page of the TASFA with your new acknowledgment of registration OR submit the completed printout of your registration from sss.gov through the Document Uploader. Failure to complete this process, may result in cancellation or delay your state financial aid.

If you have questions, please visit our Document Uploader FAQ or contact One Stop at 210-458-8000 or email onestop@utsa.edu
