Fifth-Year Accounting Scholarship

FIFTH-YEAR ACCOUNTING SCHOLARSHIP
Award: Number of awards and amounts vary
Must be a resident of Texas
Must demonstrate financial need as determined by the FAFSA
Must be enrolled at least half time
Demonstrate financial need as determined by the FAFSA
Must have filed an Application of Intent to take the CPA examination with the Texas State Board of Public Accountancy (A copy of your acknowledgement letter must accompany your scholarship application.)
Must have completed a baccalaureate degree or at least 120 hours of college course work at the beginning of the term in which the award is being made
Must need 30 or fewer hours to complete 150 semester hours education requirement to take the CPA Examination in Texas
Must be meeting satisfactory academic progress
Must have not already been approved for or taken the CPA examination
Must have registered for the Selective Service or are exempt from this requirement
Application requirements: Applications can be obtained at https://www.tsbpa.state.tx.us/scholarship/applications-student-app-process.html or Scholarship Office. Submit your application in hardcopy form to UTSA’s Department of Accounting by the deadline.
Deadline: August 22 for fall semester; Dec. 20 for spring semester; April 25 for summer semester.
