Complete Direct Loan Entrance Counseling


You must complete Direct Loan Entrance Counseling before you can receive your Direct loan funds. Please follow these steps to complete your entrance counseling requirements:

  1. Log onto studentaid.gov with your Department of Education issued FSA ID.
  2. Click on the “Loans and Grants” link
  3. Under Get a Loan, click on “Loan Entrance Counseling”
  4. Select if you are an Undergraduate or Graduate student to begin. Click “Start” to begin.
  5. After you have completed entrance counseling, UTSA will receive notification from the Department of Education that your Entrance Counseling has been completed.

Your loans will not disburse until this process is complete. It will take 2-3 business days for UTSA to receive notification that you have completed your loan entrance counseling.
