Unusual Enrollment History


Your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) has been flagged for an “unusual enrollment history review” by the U.S. Department of Education because you received Federal Pell Grant funds and/or Federal Direct Loans at multiple education institutions during a four year review period.

This flag requires UTSA to review your academic history and determine whether or not your enrollment is for the sole purpose of receiving cash refunds of federal student aid without earning academic credit. If a resolution cannot be determined, you may be asked to submit additional documentation to clarify the unusual enrollment history.
